Excitement for the shooting of Deadpool 2 has come to a complete and utter standstill today when a female stunt driver suddenly died on set in Vancouver, Canada, during a motorcycle stunt gone wrong. TMZ reported the news, along with an audio recording of the 9-1-1 call, detailing the crash as the woman was seen going airborne through a glass windowpane just before she was pronounced dead.

Multiple witnesses stated that the woman on the motorcycle wasn’t moving after she lost control of the motorcycle due to allegedly not applying the brakes before crashing through the glass window. The name of the stuntdriver has yet to be released, along with many other details at this time, however, it was reported that Vancouver Police Department officers were at the scene of the accident, along with five officers from WorkSafeBC.

The area has since been closed down by authorities, and many have expressed their deepest condolences for the stunt driver and her family. A spokesperson from 20th Century Fox revealed in a statement to E! News, QUOTE, “We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning. Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”

And Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, shared a heartfelt message via Twitter, writing, “Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while shooting Deadpool. We’re heartbroken, shocked and devastated… but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment. My heart pours out to them – along with each and every person she touched in this world.”

This tragedy comes exactly one month after stunt actor, John Bernecker, passed away from injuries due to a fall on the set of “Walking Dead.” The cast later paid tribute to him later during their ComicCon panel last month.

There is no word yet whether or not production on Deadpool will be put off for the time being, but at this time, we here at Clevver, are also sending our deepest condolences to the stunt driver and her family. Be sure to subscribe as more updates soon become available… as for now, I’m Drew Dorsey with Clevver News.

  1. To answer the question "Why are people making jokes?" Because plenty of random people die every day. If you're upset about every one, you have no time to do anything else.

  2. This was a great friend of mine who had the courage to chase her dreams. She lived out loud and took the opportunity to be great. I am just glad that you all got to know her name as she wanted. She wanted the world to know her name and today I am sad to say they do. Bitter/Sweet

  3. A newbie stunt rider her first gig, usually performers work up to powersport stunts. Negligence letting her do it without a helmet under afro. Movies that profit from ultra violence often create accidents for the thrill of the scene. The crew on street were all dressed casual too hardly any vests and the bike almost hit pedestrians the area was not roped off at all. Lucky more were not hurt,

  4. i was wondering what would occur if was a male stuntdriver, this comment section will be full or 80% of people joking about this, those stuntdriver get pay a lot for because of this(they know maybe get killed doing this), i think she KNOW the risk not to wear a helmet driving a ducati

  5. Man this is why everyone has to live their life to the fullest because you don't know when it's going to be your last; My heart goes out to that woman's family and Friends we lost a great person from this world……. And may she rest in peace

  6. Looking at some of these comments genuinely scares me. A woman died. Whether you knew her or didn't' someone passed away. At least be respectful man. Don't make fun of it or say 'I don''t care' because that just makes you an ass.

  7. To all of you getting triggered by jokes, people die everyday and jokes about tragedies are made everyday. This ones might have been made "too soon" but you are the ones who disgust me because you certainly laughed at a tragedy joke before! Hypocrits

  8. These guys are the unsung heroes of the film business. They put their lives on the line to make a film as best as it could be and get little to no credit for it.

  9. She died because she wasn't wearing any head protection!! Why? Because the person's idea of Domino having an afro! She was Zazie Beetz'stunt double…TOLD ya that afro was an bad idea to start! And now someone paid for it with their life! Safety first! Afro last! Now her death is on whoever design Domino's costume conscience…Ryan Reynolds!!

  10. aight go on and joke about her if that's your kind of fucked up humor but don't do it on the video that is about her death like come on guys you're asking to get bombarded with hate and disgust

  11. Condolences to the lady's family. Stunt men/woman don't get enough credit, they put their lives on the line for our entertainmen. Movies just wouldnt be the same without these brave souls. Its so sad when things like this happen.

  12. stunt actors should have MORE credit than the leading actors/actresses for their job like 98% they could die by doing these dangerous scenes like it hurts me that they risk they lives for actors that they don't deserve to be in the movie or they risk their lives for Actor WHO DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE STUNT ACTORS all they care about is the movie make more money
